Abbie Cornish was born on August 7, 1982, in Lochinvar, New South Wales, as the second of five children born to Shelley and Barry Cornish. She was raised on a 70-hectare or 170-acre farm before moving to Newcastle.
She is not the only one in her family in the entertainment industry, but she can be considered the first. Her younger sister, Isabelle Cornish is also an actress.
She is best known for her television roles, especially for her parts in Puberty Blues and Home and Away, and Crystal in the 2017 American television series Inhumans.
She is also a vegetarian and was crowned Australia’s Prettiest Vegetarian in 2013 by PETA Australia.
